2025 TTXC Taiwan Technology X Culture Expo Unveils Main Visuals, Spotlighting AI Co-Creation and New Content Economy

The Ministry of Culture and the Kaohsiung City Government are co-hosting the 2025 TTXC Taiwan Technology X Culture Expo, which will take place from October 10 to 26 at the Pier-2 Art Center in Kaohsiung. The expo's main visuals, crafted by local Kaohsiung design studio Beanincave, were unveiled today. The design uses futuristic metallic and three-dimensional structures that symbolize the infinite possibilities of AI and culture co-creation, reflecting Taiwan's ambition to integrate technology and culture.

This year's expo, themed "Co-Creation and New Content Economy," will focus on industry exchange. It will bring together top experts, creators, and industry leaders from Taiwan and abroad in Kaohsiung to explore the profound impact of generative AI on the cultural content ecosystem and foster new cross-disciplinary dialogue and international co-creation.

The Ministry of Culture noted that to meet the global wave of generative AI, Taiwan, with its excellent technological foundation and rich cultural heritage, urgently needs to create a new cultural economy through cross-disciplinary integration. To gradually build a sociological discourse on cultural technology from a Taiwanese perspective, this year's TTXC will debut as an international conference. The aim is to leverage the event's rich existing exhibition platform and enhance the foundation for cultural technology discourse and its forward-looking vision.

The conference will focus on AI, with discussions extending to a wide range of related topics. At the same time, a survey report on trends in the cultural and technology industries will also be presented. Through international academic exchanges such as conferences, keynote speeches, and thematic forums, the event aims to deepen theoretical foundations and practical perspectives, thereby enhancing TTXC's professional influence.

According to the Ministry of Culture, the conferences and forums will feature industry pioneers from diverse fields, including film and television special effects, immersive content, IP application and entertainment, and innovative venue operations. By combining knowledge and practical experience, the event will build a cross-sector collaboration platform. Through international exchange, professional dialogue, and matchmaking, it aims to further boost the global visibility and market reach of Taiwan's cultural and technology content industry.

This year, TTXC will partner with "XR DREAMLAND," Asia's largest XR film festival hosted by the Kaohsiung Film Archive, and the cultural technology exhibition "INNOVATIONS" curated by the Taiwan Creative Content Agency. The event will bring together teams from Taiwan's cultural and technology sectors to showcase XR immersive works from both original Taiwanese creations and top international IPs, inviting the public to experience a new vision for cultural technology.

The Kaohsiung City Government stated that holding TTXC in Kaohsiung for the third time underscores the city's determination and achievements in advancing a smart city and cultural technology. In collaboration with Asia's largest XR film festival, Brogent Technologies (a top-flight theater technology provider with deep roots in Kaohsiung and a global presence), and Moonshine Studio – which created the world's first MR theater, "Moondream Reality," in Kaohsiung – the event will present high-quality works from Taiwan and around the world. This will underscore Kaohsiung's exemplary status in leading the fusion of culture and technology in Taiwan.

This year, TTXC will also collaborate with the experience design team Surprise Lab to relaunch the popular immersive theater show, "The Great Tipsy," in October. With assistance from the Ministry of Digital Affairs, which has long promoted the advanced application of digital technology and helped digital content creators connect with the commercial market, this project is bringing Surprise Lab into the old, four-story, 826-square-meter Hamasen Trader Building in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The move will create a permanent experience and further expand the "Tipsy Universe." This project has also facilitated a collaboration between Surprise Lab and the well-known digital experience design team Ultracombos, which will integrate AI interactive technology to fully enhance the sense of immersive engagement and launch a new narrative form that fuses experience and technology. As part of its mission to promote industrialization and internationalization, the Taiwan Creative Content Agency is conducting a commercial validation of this new type of experience and operational model. This support helps Surprise Lab expand the commercial benefits and economic value of "The Great Tipsy."

Early bird tickets are on sale for a limited time on the Surprise Lab website. For more information on the event, please follow the official social media page for the 2025 TTXC Taiwan Technology X Culture Expo.
