TTXC 2025 Taiwan Technology x Culture Expo: Two Major Exhibition Areas × 30 Industry Events – A Preview of the New Wave of AI Co-Creation
The TTXC 2025 Taiwan Technology x Culture Expo Industry Week, co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and the Kaohsiung City Government, officially kicked off today (Oct 21) at the Pier-2 Art Center in Kaohsiung. This year, under the theme "AI Synergy for Next Content Economy," the event brings together two major exhibition areas: Asia's largest XR exhibition, "XR DREAMLAND," and "INNOVATIONS: Cultural Tech Exchange," curated by the Taiwan Creative Content Agency. Featuring over 30 international seminars, pitch meetings, and industry networking events, the expo brings together leading domestic and international creators, technology teams, and investors to jointly unlock new opportunities for the culture and technology industry.

International Forum Kicks Off: Six Sessions with Global Experts Focusing on AI Synergy for Next Content Economy
This year, TTXC is hosting its inaugural International Forum. The event will be held Oct 22-23 at Pinway, Warehouse No. 8, Pier-2 Art Center. Six major sessions bring together pioneers, industry experts, and policymakers from the culture and technology fields in Taiwan, the UK, Japan, South Korea, the US, and other countries. Together, participants will explore virtual production, immersive experiences, IP entertainment applications, and innovative spaces, as well as future development trends in generative AI. Through international dialogues and practical sharing, the forum will explore how to deepen industry exchanges and collaboration, showcasing the forward-looking vision and innovative momentum of Taiwan's cultural technology industry.

XR DREAMLAND Immersive Experiences: 35 Outstanding XR Works from Around the World to be Presented in Kaohsiung, with 8 Lectures Revealing Future Trends and 25 Senior XR Industry Professionals Sharing Creative Insights
"XR DREAMLAND," held at P3 Warehouse of the Pier-2 Art Center, is Asia's largest XR film festival. It features 35 international works, including the multiplayer interactive VR experience "Titanic: Echoes of the Past," the mixed reality work "Impulse: Playing with Reality" narrated by Tilda Swinton, and "Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom," a 90-minute immersive VR interactive experience extending from the classic Japanese anime universe.
Building on the enthusiastic response to last year's "Sanrio Virtual Music Festival," this year will also feature five VRChat concert programs, available exclusively for free. The Kaohsiung Film Archive and the Kaohsiung Museum of History have also joined forces to launch the VR special exhibition "Guardians of Jade Mountain." It transports audiences into the historical scenes of anthropologist Mori Ushinosuke and Taiwan's mountain forests, blending the virtual and real to rediscover the deep memories of the land and its culture, showcasing the cultural power of immersive storytelling.
The Kaohsiung City Government has long been committed to immersive and XR industry development, fostering exchanges and dialogue within the global immersive ecosystem, and enhancing the international visibility of Taiwan's XR creations. This year, multiple XR creative teams and industry representatives from Taiwan and abroad have once again been invited to participate. This includes the Taiwanese original VR work "The Clouds Are Two Thousand Meters Up," which recently won the 2025 Venice Film Festival Immersive Grand Prize, with director Singing Chen leading the technical team on-site to share their creative vision. Additionally, Hidefumi Kitsukawa, producer of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom"; Vincent Guttmann, producer of "Titanic: Echoes from the Past"; Cameron Kostopoulos, director of "In the Current of Being"; and Barry Gene Murphy, director of "Impulse: Playing with Reality," will also gather in Kaohsiung to share their industry insights and creative experiences.

INNOVATIONS Cultural Tech Exchange: Over 70 Original Taiwanese Works and Nearly 10 Industry Networking Events Create New Platform for Cross-Field Collaboration
Organized by the Taiwan Creative Content Agency, "INNOVATIONS" takes "Cultural Tech Exchange" as its curatorial theme. Held at the Bicycle Warehouse of the Pier-2 Art Center, it features four major exhibition areas – Industry Engine Center, Perception Story House, Co-Creation Field, and Panoramic Window – showcasing 72 works. Bringing together diverse expertise from the creative, technical, and branding sectors, it showcases successful cases of cultural technology commercialization, demonstrating how to innovatively integrate culture and technology and realize their full potential.
The Taiwan Creative Content Agency will simultaneously release the "Cultural Technology Industry Ecosystem Report," which shows Taiwan's cultural technology is moving beyond technical experimentation. This shift indicates a growth phase focused on content-driven development, cross-field collaboration, and market implementation.
Additionally, representatives from international organizations – such as HTC VIVE ORIGINALS, Brogent Technologies, the Immersive unit of the Cannes Film Festival in France, and Kunstkraftwerk Leipzig in Germany – will engage in discussions. Their topics will include "Cultural Technology Matching and International Distribution Operations" and "Immersive Venue Strategy Guidelines." Focusing on "immersive experiences," "cultural technology techniques," and "games," the event promotes substantive cooperation and international expansion among industry teams. It also connects market resources with investors, thereby opening new opportunities for diverse collaborations in cultural technology.
The Ministry of Culture states that TTXC 2025, launching from Kaohsiung, integrates exhibitions, forums, experiences, and industry exchanges to create an international cultural technology platform. Spanning from XR immersive imagery to the cultural technology marketplace, and from IP adaptation to cross-domain business models, TTXC is not only a showcase for integrating culture and technology but also a crucial stage for opening up cultural innovation opportunities in the AI era. The public is invited to visit Kaohsiung from now until October 26 to experience Asia's most cutting-edge cultural technology event.
