TTXC International Forum

Given the rapid emergence of AI tools and the diverse development of future content technologies, the cultural content industry is facing unprecedented challenges of transformation. Technological innovation is reshaping creative processes and the very structure of the industry—from film and television production to interactive performances, cross-disciplinary storytelling, and digital entertainment. The content ecosystem is advancing toward a new stage of development.

The TTXC International Forum, themed “AI Synergy for Next Content Economy,” invites pioneering practitioners, industry experts, and cultural policymakers from Taiwan and around the world to share cutting-edge technological insights and industry observations. The forum will delve into multiple dimensions, including generative AI, virtual production, XR applications, and immersive experiences. It will also examine how technology is shaping the future of content creation, production, and distribution.

Through keynote speeches, panels, and international case studies, TTXC aims to serve as a vital platform linking Taiwan with the global cultural technology ecosystem. By promoting cross-disciplinary collaboration and resource integration, we will jointly explore new possibilities for the future of the cultural content industry.

Espere, Founder & CEO

Ida Kymmer is an international business strategist, speaker and startup assessor specialising in emerging creative technologies. She focuses on how emerging technologies can create new business models and solve global challenges.
Ida has an MA in Peace and Conflict Studies. She has lived in eight countries and speaks five languages. Her experience in creative technologies is extensive: she worked with Dexter Studios in South Korea to develop the 3D interior screens for SLS Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. 2021-2023 she was the Global Director of Journee.
Ida is a frequent keynote speaker, panellist, and moderator and has been speaking at events such as the World Economic Forum, SXSW, Gitex, TechBBQ, Deloitte Innovation Day, Next in Vogue and many more. She is also a startup judge and regularly assesses startups for selection to various incubator or scholarship programs.
Ida also runs the business development consultancy Espere that specializes in Korean and global business exchanges as well as Studio E, a full-service event, conference and creative production studio based in Seoul.

Marvin Chiu, with over 27 years of experience in the software industry, is recognized as an early pioneer in Taiwan’s new generation tech trends. He has held senior management roles at global companies including Trend Micro and Cyberlink. In 2014, he founded Speed 3D Inc., focusing on cutting-edge solutions in computer vision, AI & machine learning, AR, and cloud computing. His achievements include being named one of Manager Magazine’s Top 100 MVP Managers (2018), receiving the Outstanding ICT Elite Award (2019), and being selected as an Outstanding Entrepreneur in GEM’s Global Report 2020/2021. Driven by a passion for emerging technologies, he continues to advance innovation in Taiwan’s software industry on the global stage.

Alice Chang, Deputy CEO of the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), holds a Master’s degree from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology and is currently a PhD candidate at Taipei National University of the Arts. She has extensive experience bridging technology and cultural content, having worked at the National Science and Technology Council on foresight policy planning and inter-ministerial coordination, and at the Institute for Information Industry on initiatives in digital archiving, digital content, new media art exhibitions, and museum technology. With a background spanning industry, government, and academia, she now focuses on cultural-tech innovation and global market development, believing that cross-sector collaboration can generate win-win outcomes.

Daniel Seah is the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Wētā FX, bringing over a decade of leadership experience in the visual effects industry. Prior to joining Wētā FX, he served as CEO of Digital Domain for 12 years, where he transformed the award-winning visual effects studio, known for works like Titanic and Marvel's Avengers, into a diversified technology company.
During his tenure, Daniel spearheaded the company's expansion beyond traditional visual effects into emerging technologies, including virtual reality and artificial intelligence. Daniel’s leadership skills saw him establish a global network of post-production facilities, expanding from Los Angeles across multiple continents, with locations in Vancouver, Montreal, Hyderabad, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and more. His strategic vision and execution earned him recognition as Top 25 Media Executives of 2024 by Key Executives, and one of the Top 25 Business Leaders of Los Angeles in 2023 by The Business Report.
Before entering the entertainment technology sector, Daniel built a strong foundation in finance, working as an investment banker at Barclays and United Simsen Securities Limited. This financial acumen, combined with his technology leadership, has seen him develop a unique set of skills required to succeed in the highly competitive world of digital visual effects.
Daniel's global perspective, shaped by living in both Asia and America throughout his career, has fostered a deep appreciation for diverse cultural environments. Staff Research Scientist, Meta Platforms Inc.

Wan-Chun Alex Ma is a staff research scientist at Meta Platforms Inc.. Prior to Meta he was affiliated with ByteDance, Google, Activision Blizzard, ETH Zurich, Weta Digital, and USC Institute for Creative Technologies. During his Google tenure as a senior software engineer, he led the research and development for AR lighting estimation to promote realism for augmented reality. He was also a research scientist at both Weta Digital and Activision Blizzard where his work on facial performance capture contributed to many recent productions, including the Hobbit trilogy, Iron Man 3, the reboot Planet of the Apes series, Furious 7, BFG, Call of Duty series, and so on. His researches have been published at top tier graphics conferences including SIGGRAPH, SIGGRAPH Asia, Eurographics, EGSR, SGP and I3D, in research areas such as facial animation, performance capture, photogrammetry, image-based modeling and rendering, geometry processing and machine learning. Ma received an Academy Award for Technical Achievement in 2019 for his work on the Polarized Spherical Gradient Illumination facial appearance capture system used in creating photoreal digital actors. He received his Ph.D. from National Taiwan University in 2008.

An engineer who entered the world of animation by chance, he firmly believes that continuous technological advancement is the key to realizing greater dreams, driving innovation in visual storytelling, and expanding the boundaries of imagination. Over the past decade since founding Moonshine Animation, he has led the team to focus on animation while extending into the development of innovative visual technologies, including gaming, VR, immersive interaction, projection, and AI, continuously exploring possibilities for cross-disciplinary integration.
With a keen eye on global trends in cultural and creative technologies, he pioneered Taiwan’s virtual production industry by introducing the country’s first LED volume stage in 2017, opening a new chapter for local film and TV production. To date, Moonshine Studio has successfully completed nearly 200 virtual production projects across diverse fields, including films, TV dramas, music concerts, and commercial showcases, continuously leveraging technology to drive innovation and accelerate the transformation and upgrading of Taiwan’s post-production industry.

Creative Experience Director of Universal Studios Japan

ARIF KHAN is a British writer & director, based in Tokyo and Los Angeles.
He’s held roles at Airbnb Creative Studio, Warner Bros. Animation and Oculus Story Studio, the Emmy Award-winning team dedicated to the research and development of virtual reality storytelling.
His recent VR experiences include FUKUSHIMA NOW, which had its world premiere at the 81st Venice International Film Festival, and BLACK ICE VR, which premiered at SXSW 2022.
His films and VR projects have screened at festivals around the world including the Sitges International Film Festival, SIGGRAPH, Trieste Science+Fiction Festival, Kaohsiung Film Festival, Imagine Film Festival, and Festival Européen du Film Fantastique de Strasbourg.
Prior to receiving his M.F.A. in Film Production at USC - School of Cinematic Arts, he earned his Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Cambridge.
He currently serves as Creative Experience Director at Universal Studios Japan.

Samantha is Head of Programme at VIVE Arts (HTC), a global arts initiative supporting artists and cultural organisations to experiment with immersive technology, where she leads the creative development, production, and strategic direction of the programme. Previous to VIVE Arts, she was Senior Producer of Audience Labs at the Royal Opera House, an innovation programme bringing together artists and immersive technology to create contemporary opera and ballet experiences. She has also produced exhibitions at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and Museum of the Moving Image in New York.
Samantha specialises in producing multilayered, interdisciplinary experiences and exhibitions that explore creative innovation using digital tools. She has worked with a range of artists, designers, technologists and creatives, and with partners across sectors in the UK and internationally including Google Creative Lab, UKRI, Versailles, National Gallery, Musee d’Orsay, and Art Basel. She is interested in new forms of cultural infrastructure, the transformative potential of immersive technologies on artistic practice, and how interdisciplinary collaborations and creative R&D can offer new possibilities for artists, audiences, and the future of culture.
Samantha is a member of the British Interactive Media Association Immersive Tech Council, on the advisory board of Immersive Arts, a three-year development programme supporting artists across the UK to explore the possibilities of immersive technology, and a trustee of the Manchester-based arts organisation Abandon Normal Devices.

Mr. Pei-Chang Lee is the Managing Partner of the New Hope Law Firm. He has long served as legal counsel to arts and cultural institutions, cultural and creative enterprises, and technology companies, and provides legal advisory services to government agencies.
He now also serves as: Person in Charge of the National Culture and Arts Foundation’s Arts and Culture Legal Consultation Service Partnership; Member of the Advisory Committee of the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts; Chairperson of the Cultural and Arts Law Committee of the Taipei Bar Association; Instructor for the Intellectual Property Service Team of the Intellectual Property Office, Ministry of Economic Affairs; and Chairperson of the Cultural, Arts and Intellectual Property Trust Committee of the Taiwan Trust Association.
Mr. Pei-Chang Lee is the author of “Art Licensing for Beginners,” published in 2024 by the Taipei National University of the Arts.

President for Research & Development of Taiwan Design Research Institute

Professor Shyhnan Liou is a Distinguished Professor and former Director of the Institute of Creative Industries Design at National Cheng Kung University.
In 2022, he was appointed Chief R&D Officer at the Taiwan Design Research Institute, where he has been dedicated to advancing design-oriented research and development. His research focuses on design-driven innovation and the organizational design of R&D. He has published more than one hundred academic papers and five scholarly books.
In 2023, he received the title of Honorary Professor from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, in recognition of his outstanding achievements. Also in 2023, he was elected a Fellow of the Chinese Society for Management of Technology and appointed Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Technology Management.
In 2025, he will co-host the International Association of Societies of Design Research (IASDR) Conference with the Taiwan Design Research Institute (TDRI) and the Chinese Institute of Design (CID).
